Coach DeGrazia - Varsity Head Coach
Joe DeGrazia grew up in Edmonds, Washington and graduated from Edmonds-Woodway High School in 2010. He was a 4-year basketball player at Edmonds-Woodway and a team captain in his senior year. He helped lead the Warriors to the playoffs in his junior and senior years. After high school, he attended Western Washington University and earned a degree in Business Administration. After graduation, he began coaching while pursuing a graduate degree in Education at the University of Washington in Bothell. Coach DeGrazia has spent one year as a Varsity Assistant coach at Nathan Hale High School, three years as Head JV coach at Redmond High School, one year as Head JV coach at Lake Washington High School, and one year as the Head Varsity Coach at Bishop Blanchet High School. In his only year at Bishop Blanchet, DeGrazia led the Braves to the second round of the district playoffs in the competitive Metro League. He ranks third all-time in Wins at Kamiak with 34.
Coach Smith - Head JV Coach
Jared Smith grew up in Snohomish and attended Archbishop Murphy High School in Mill Creek. While at Archbishop Murphy, he was a three sport letterman and captain of the football, basketball, and track teams. After high school, he coached basketball for NBC Camps in Auburn and graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Coach Smith has been with the Kamiak basketball program for 11 years, where he started as a C-team assistant coach in 2013.
Coach Brudevold - Head C Team Coach
Andrew Makori is a 2010 Kamiak grad where he played 4 years of varsity basketball and was a captain in his senior year. He continued his basketball career at Houghton college (NCAA D-3) in New York. where he was a starting point guard. He has ran youth basketball camps, coaches youth basketball, and is eager to give back to the Kamiak community as the C-Team Head Coach. He and his wife Amanda currently reside in Mukilteo.
Coach Walsh - Varsity Assistant Coach
Nathan Walsh grew up in Seattle and graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 2018. He was a three-year basketball player at Hale where he played for Coach DeGrazia in 2015, and a three-sport letterman in Basketball, Soccer, and Golf. He graduated from the University of Redlands in 2022 with degrees in Business, Sociology, and Anthropology. Nathan began coaching at Kamiak in 2023 and hopes to be a part of the program for years to come.
